This is my lens. My very favorite lens. A Tamron 28-300 and while I have fantasied about having the Canon brand 28-300 I never intended to pay the $1700 {at least} price tag. While the lens and camera fell out of my bag when my husband was holding it, it was my fault and I am just sick over it. We had been at the pool in Sunriver and I took some pictures {and thought I would take more} and put the camera in my bag but didn't zip it. I carried the bag {unzipped} all the way out of the pool and put it in the back of the Burley that Emily was riding in and we rode home. Terry and Ian were faster than Sarah and I and when I walked in the house Terry said he had bad news. He had grabbed the bag and reached down to get something else when he heard it crash on the ground. I guess I should be grateful that my camera still works but I am in such a dilemma on what to replace it with - it really is the lens I used the most and now find myself up to my eyeballs in lens research and still not sure what to get. UGH!!!!

You should talk to my sister Joanna about lenses. She's been doing a ton of research and knows exactly what you want :) I'm so sorry by the way! Ouch!
