Getting Ready

We got our supply list in July and sometime in August I bought all the items {we might be missing one or two things still} and left them in their bags on the counter in our laundry room where they still sat the night before the kids headed back to school. So the night before I stayed up late sharpening and labeling pencils {36 to be exact - Em's didn't have to be sharpened or labeled} and sorting the supplies into three piles and then putting them in their backpacks {plus an extra bag because there was SO MUCH STUFF}. Sending three kids to school sure is expensive!

Second Grade - Sarah

24 #2 pencils – sharpened and individually labeled
1 red ballpoint pens
1 box crayons (24-48 count only) Please no larger.
1 pair scissors
6 glue sticks (white)
1 pink pearl eraser
1 plastic school box w/lid shoe box size (not larger or smaller)
1 set of 8 Prang watercolor paints
1 set (8-12) Thick Crayola Classic washable markers (labeled)
1 large box tissues
1 ruler- inch/metric
2 pee-chee folders
2 packages of Lysol or Clorox antiseptic wipes
2 Mead composition journals
1 small pencil sharpener for desk
1 pair tennis shoes for PE (No dark soles)1 pkg of assorted
stickers for grading/awards – no mini stickers
1 set of 12 colored pencils (optional)
1 backpack – non-wheeling and able to hang
on the hooks in the hall.
