Mexico

November 2010

I got a phone call one night from Tara asking me if I wanted to go to Mexico with her on a trip that she had sold at her school auction. Someone had ended up not being able to go. I asked her when she was leaving and she told me the date and I did a mental calculation and replied " SIX DAYS, YOU'RE LEAVING IN SIX DAYS!"
I said that there was no way I could do it but that I would ask Terry. He didn't say no and I found a flight using millage so 6 days later I was soaking up the sun in Mexico with Tara and 6 or so other women that I didn't know at all. It was so much fun and such an unexpected trip to warmth and sunshine. Thank you Tara for thinking of me.

Open your eyes and look around you

Sunsets brought to you by the eye of Ian Sedgewick

I'm not sure why Ian often notices the sunrise, sunset or the beauty of the landscape around us but he does and if he likes it he brings it to my attention telling me "You just might want to bring your camera and take a photo". It could be because I am always pointing out beautiful landscapes, sunrises or sunsets as I drive the kids all over town and back and maybe it has rubbed off on him, or maybe he just sees the beauty and know how much I like to take photos. Either way, I love that he notices and lets me know.

Rise & Shine

We have been getting up early for Ian and Sarah to go to band & choir and in doing so we have seen some beautiful sunrises. A beautiful way to start the day.

Beauty Observed

When we left for school this morning there was the most beautiful sunrise. All of us were in aha of the beauty.

I think the sky looks painted.

A Plus to getting up so early

My alarm is going of again in the mornings and this morning I looked out the window and this is what I saw. It was beautiful and it took my breath away just a little. I took a photo and went about the morning of waking up kids, getting them dressed and ready for school and with in 15 minutes the sun was up and all the spectacular color was gone. So, although I am not thrilled to be back to the grind, so to speak, I think there is a plus to being up so early once again. I got to witness this beautiful sunrise and I am sure I will see many more.
