I am such a dork!

The other day I went to type something on my laptop and all that showed up on the screen was numbers. I couldn't get it to type words no matter what I tried so I restarted it and it was working like new once again! Then it happened again! I restarted it and once again back to new. The third time it happened I decided to leave it that way and take it into the mac store (secreatly dreaming that something was REALLY wrong with it so I could get the one with MORE. More RAM more memory, more everything. Did I tell you that I am addicted to my mac?)

I took my computer into Emily's gymnastic class this morning and even chatted with someone about it and she asked me if I had tried pushing one of the F buttons so I opened it up and pushed a few but nothing worked. My friend Holli took Em for a play date so off to my happy place (the mac store) I went. When I got there about 11:30 I couldn't get a time with the Mac genious's until 1 pm so I hung out and asked if someone could help me find my apple care number when the assistant manager walked by and said hi to me (yes, he recognizes me. Did I tell you its my happy place?) He asked what was wrong and when I told him he asked if it was only the right side. I didn't know. So, he had a moment and said he could look at my computer. Here is where the dorkyness comes in. There is a button (F6 to be exact) at the top and written on it is num lock. (by the way it did cross my mind that a number lock was on the first time it hapened but there is no seperate number keys (just the ones across the top) so I dismissed it thinking there was no number lock key. There is, F6, and when pressed the keys on the right side of the keyboard turn into numbers and no other keys work.

So there you have it. I am offically a dork!

My friend Amiee recently got a new iMac (I am so excited for her) and I did say that I loved my Mac's but there was a learning curve. Apparently I am still deep in the turn. Oh yah, about the new Mac with MORE, I love my laptop and really don't need anything more. My laptop is perfect for this dork and anything MORE would porably just confuse me.
