On the first day of school the kids get to ware "free dress" and the second day starts the uniform so our second day of school tradition is to take photos in front of the statue of Mary. Apparently there are friends of mine who are adults and went to Our Lady of the Lake as kids and had the same photo taken of them every year ~ now they take it of their kids.
