April Fools!

Having just returned from Mexico last night I didn't realize that it was April 1st and once I realized it I knew Ian would be disappointed. He loves April Fools Day and he plans things to do in advance but it was off the radar this year.

When I picked up the kids, Sarah walked to the car with her head down crying. As she got in I asked her what was wrong and she said she had a bad day. I asked her if she got in trouble and she said she would show me and proceeded to get something out of her back pack. She handed me her detention slip and I read it and was just getting ready to ask her what she did when she shouted "April Fools". We all laughed and I told her what a good actress she was because I totally believed her.

Not to be left out Emily told me a story. "Mom when I saw my imaginary pet hamster today it wasn't moving and I thought it was dead, and then it said April Fools" The April Fools part she said in a small {what I believe to be} hamster voice with her hands up like paws.
