Tuesday after Presidents weekend I was helping in Emily's Kindergarten class and there were 10 kids out sick and I found out later that day that the school had a total of 61 kids out. Through out the week there were large numbers of kids out and I was just grateful that my kids were staying healthy. Last Monday morning I woke the girls up for school and the first words out of Emily's mouth was "I have a head ache" and that was the beginning. Emily was home all week last week with the flu and on Thursday evening she had gone 24 hours without throwing up or spiking a fever so the plan was to send her to school but she woke up in the middle of the night complaining that her eye hurt. She was up for a few hours so I decided to keep her home again to rest but I thought she was fine but she spiked a fever again on Saturday. Ian came home from school on Thursday because he fell and hit his head but by Friday morning he also had the flu. Poor Ian felt so bad but hates the taste of medicine and was soooo hungry but couldn't keep anything down. It was a rough few days but both kids have started eating small amounts of food and seam to be on the mend. Now I just hope Sarah doesn't get it, or worse yet me!

I thought we were spared but am up now at 1:30 with Lucy with a 103 temp! I'm not encouraged by reading it lasted a week! Glad your kids are better - oh so if this is the case we might need to push Wacky Wed back a week. I'll call you!
