This was the first year that Emily was able to attend the Kid's Camp at the Oregon Golf Club and she enjoyed being one of the big kids. The week was filled with a science day, cooking day, and the much anticipated water day. The last day was a family b-b-q along with fishing in the pond off the 7th hole {where Henry Durbin caught a HUGE carp and my friend Tara caught her car keys} and then an after hours swim in the pool topped off with a sleepover in the tent where they watched movies late into the night. I wasn't planning on having Emily sleep over - she was just going to stay for a while and then I was going to pick her up but she decided to stay the night. I made a phone call at 10:30 and she was fine - I on the other had slept somewhat fitfully having ALL my children gone for the night.
At the pool all the kids jumped in together - that's Emily at the DEEP END jumping in like she has been swimming for years instead of weeks. This week of Kids Camp is one of my kids favorite things for them to do in the summer.
