I filled up my gas tank today on the Friday before Memorial Day {of all days}. I wouldn't have filled up today if I wasn't on empty because I know the prices go up for the holiday weekend and I also knew the lines would be long at the Costco gas station. I was right the lines were long but I passed the time listening to the new play list I made for my ipod for me to listen to when I am walking and the lined moved quickly and the employee pumping my gas {I love this about Oregon} was very friendly, however, I paid $69.39 to fill up - can you say OUCH! I know it is worse for those driving a SUV but still to pay $3.84 per gallon is quite the sticker shock. Take a look here if you want to know where to get the best price for gas in your area. The year I started driving gas was $1.23 per gallon - my how times have changed! Check this site out if you are interested in finding out other information from years gone by. With the cost of gas these days boy am I glad that we have been car pooling with the Durbin's three days a week.

How funny... I have a gas blog in progress. I remember paying 90 something cents in Miami back in the early 90's.
