Sarah and Emily crack me up {when they aren't irritating me} over what they choose to argue about. Today as we were leaving the lacrosse field Emily was crying and the two of them were arguing the whole way to the car. It went something like this...
Emily crying: But slugs are bad
Sarah: I like slugs
Emily still crying: They aren't good for the garden
Sarah: But that doesn't mean you have to step on it. Mom, she stepped on it!
Emily STILL crying: You should care about people not care about slugs
It went on but I had to insist that they stop talking to each other {at least for the car ride home}. When I put Sarah to bed tonight I found this drawing and when I asked her about it she said she drew it when she and Emily had gotten in an argument and Emily had said to Sarah "Bla, Bla, Bla!" {except that she spelled it blo, blo, blo. I guess she takes after her mother in the spelling department!} and Sarah was "really angry" so she drew the picture. My favorite part are the lines coming out of Emily's mouth showing that she is the one talking. When I tucked Em in tonight I asked her about it and she said they were arguing about elephant trunks - go figure. I guess at 7 & 4 it's important.

Couldn't help but laugh! Probably because it was happening to you and not me! Those types of arguements drive me NUTS!! They get so worked up and the little ones are always in tears.
