Birthday Girl

Another October birthday. Sweet little Sarah turned 7 two days ago and I am shocked that my little girl is getting so big! It is happening right before my eyes! Her actual birthday was Saturday but the day was PACKED with sports so I had planned her party for Sunday. Sarah had a double header with her first game starting at the same time I was involved with the weigh in for Ian's football team and then his game started about the time her second game started so needless to say the birthday girls mom was absent from her game but Dad had it covered. It was even our turn for snacks and although I gathered everything he got it to the game and to the kids with Emily hanging on him all the while.
Later that evening we went out to dinner as a family to Coopers Town to celebrate Sarah's day.

The next day we had a Halloween Birthday Party at our house with the girls in Sarah's class. When a friend of mine saw that we were having an "old fashioned" party in our home she wondered why more people don't have them and I can now answer that question - They are A LOT OF WORK! The girls had a great time but I was sweating the whole time and my house still has not recovered from the party. (that might have something to do with the fact that my kids keep getting into the pumpkin decorating crafts).
The girls decorated pumpkins, played a mummy wrap game (where they took turns wrapping each other in toilet paper), played "Ghost" Bingo and took turns at whacking a piƱata.

They ate cupcakes and ice cream and then Sarah opened her presents. The big thing this year was Webkinz (a stuffed animal that is also an on-line virtual game) - she received 5 different animals and was thrilled!
