Sarah's 4th grade class took a field trip to the Capital and because one of the parents also knew the Governor the kids got to have a tour of the Governor's house. They got a fun surprise and got to meet Governor Kulongoski as he was leaving. He stood around for several minutes talking to the kids and answering questions. Kulongoski {a democrat} was going to be leaving office and the election was very soon so one of the kids asked him if he would be voting for Dudly {a republican}. It was quite funny and got some giggles from the adults.

The kids also got to go int o Oregon's Supreme Court Building and into a court room and ask a bunch of questions.
