Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

As I left a friends house I noticed a few snow flakes starting to fall from the sky and pointed them out to the girls. They were super excited to see the snow but I really didn't think it would stick but soon changed my mind as I drove home. It started to snow harder and harder and the roads were quite slick. I started to get worried about making it up our hill with no chains but I was lucky that I was heading home early in the day.
The view down our driveway ~ the perfect sledding hill

When we got home Ian was already out sledding and the girls joined him but it was cold so they were inside having hot chocolate rather quickly. Terry had driven his car to work because the snow was very unexpected and there was no way he was going to be able to drive it home. He called the Guettlers and asked Chris to pick him up and drive him home and the next thing I new I had Chris and the Guettler kids sledding with my kids {Terry being the biggest} in the dark. Terry used the tractor to pull the kids in our old sand box. Emily was quite a trouper, she had gone outside with socks on her hands {I had gloves for her but she didn't see them} and came in crying because her fingers were frozen. I thought she was done for the night but after we warmed up her fingers and put on her gloves she was out in the snow once again.

Agreed, you have one heck of a hill for sledding! Bet that was fun!
