Homemade vs from the store

I give my kids the choice, and Emily wanted homemade.

So we made a trip to the Decorate Shop {a cake decorating store} and I let Emily pick out what ever she wanted to fill her cake and to decorate it with.

so the cake started with two 8 in" rounds that I had to cut off the tops to even out and then I filled the cake with chocolate filling and put one round on top of the other.

and then frosted the cake in white, tossed sprinkles around the sides and put a little pink on the edges and added the decorations that Emily picked out.
