Camping?

So, Ian is signed up for a camp out with the Cub Scouts the first week of August and he has to have a parent with him. When I signed him up I thought that Terry could go for part of the week and I could go for part of the week. I'm not so sure how that is going to turn out but it is looking more and more like it might just be me for the WHOLE week. I just got a letter from the Scout Master on what to expect {he even sent a photo but I couldn't open it}. Here is what he had to say:

Hello Sedgewick, Garcia, and Meinhardt families -
I thought you might like to see some pictures of the camp we will attend in early August.
As you can see, the scenery is beautiful, the accommodations--Spartan! :) The camp provides
the tents. Usually, boys bunk with boys, and dads bunk with dads. A dad (or mom) can share a
tent with his own son. I'm told it is a good idea to bring a small tarp to drape over the top
of the canvas tent in case we are unlucky and get a lot of rain. Feel free to bring your
own small tent if you would prefer to sleep in it rather than what the camp provides. Space in
the camping areas is a little tight, so be sure the tent is one of the smaller, 2-4 person types.
A sleeping pad of some kind is essential. The "self-inflating" pads available at REI work well.
A thin foam pad might not provide enough cushion on the wood floor of the tent.
