We headed to town to check out the sights and the shopping. Our first stop with this beautiful mission that was built in 1740
the main street of the shopping area was lined by trees that arched over the street and the streets were cobble stone. It was very quaint.

This wooden cross was in the courtyard of the Mission
The kids were hot {and grumpy} so we needed to stop and get them cooled off and fed.
We walked down to the waterfront {not really a beach in the downtown area} to check out the sights and the kids were "melting" from the heat so we had to make another stop to get some ice cream before we headed back to the hotel. Our little Oregonian children just weren't ready to exert themselves in the heat.
