Holy Cow this book took me forever to finish. It was the sequel to "Through a Glass Darkly" and I wasn't expecting a sequel and was annoyed when I finished the book that I had to read another book to find out the fate of the characters. I headed out and bought "Now Face to Face" and started off well but I lost the book and couldn't find it for more than a month. It turned out it was in Terry's car and when I tried to pick it back up the momentum was gone. I have been struggling for months to finish this darn book. I wasn't thrilled with the ending - it wasn't what I expected and then, well it ended, just like that. The next day I was looking at the back of the book because I thought there was a section that had book club questions and it turned out to be an alternate ending. The author had written the ending prior to writing most of the book but her sister got sick and wasn't going to live long and she wanted her to read the manuscript of the book before she died and didn't want her to read about a death while she was living one. I understand why the author changed her ending but after reading the 2nd ending I felt like it made more sense. Overall, I think if I hadn't taken so long to read the book I would have enjoyed it more. Now on to "A Thousand Splendid Suns" which I must have read by the 14th - I better get reading!
