Warning: If you change the white balance on your camera make sure you change it back to normal otherwise you pictures will have an unnatural color cast to them.
This warning was given by the on-line photo teacher, which I read and thought "of course I will turn it back to normal, who wouldn't". After I took the photos in the gym the other day I was sure I changed it back but I think I may have been showing someone else how to change it and left it on tungsten lighting. When I was taking the pictures I even thought they had a blue cast to them but I was so confident that I had changed the white balance back to auto that I never even double checked and continued to take photos all through the day - football, soccer, and more soccer. I was at the last game of the day taking pictures in the shade which looked even more blue before I finally checked the white balance again and low and behold - tungsten - UGH!!!! I had taken about 50 or more photos and with the new lens too! Double UGH! Luckily I found a saturation button that I could click on it and then something in the picture that was white or gray and I got more normal tones {see below}

Did I mention that I've basicaly not done anything with our photo class? I'm terrible, but SO SO SO busy. I just haven't had time. Sigh.
I've done this before though... but I have some very pretty black & white photos as a result. :)
I'm really good at saving the lessons for the classes so I'm sure at some point I will know what you are talking about. I've got some serious catching up to do.
