Buddies

The kindergartners get 6th grade buddies assigned to them to sit with at Mass and accompany them at other things through out the year. Since school began both the kindergartners {or maybe the kindergartner's mom's} and the 6th graders have been waiting to find out who they were paired with. On Tuesday I had lunch with Emily and I knew they had been assigned the buddies so I asked Emily who hers was and she replied "One of my favorite big people" but when I asked her if she knew her name she said "no". I couldn't wait to find out who it was and luckily ran into some 6th graders who told me her name. Emily's buddy is Julianna - a friend of Emily's most favorite big person {aka Big Emily} and although she did not get Big Emily for a buddy she sames happy with Julianna. I will post a picture of them together as soon as I get a chance to take one.
