Letters to and from camp

Ian is home from camp {I haven't developed his pictures yet - it is real film} but while he was gone I had the girls write letters and they drew pretty pictures that they spent hours working on for us to send to him. Emily dictated a letter and I wrote it. It was difficult to keep a straight face while I was writing it. This is how it went:

Dear Ian,
I miss you! Im sorry I being mean to you all the time and I sorry I done stuff to you, annoying you and Im sorry for doing lots of lots of mean stuff and Im really really sorry. This time Im going to be nice to everyone. I know what it feels like to be annoyed by another so I will be nice to you. Thank you for teaching me how it feels like to get annoyed. I made a picture for you - I miss you and I can't wait to see you. I love you. I know its hard, I know I learned my lesson. I made somefing for you. I can't wait to play with you.
I love you,
Thank you for being my brother.
Love Emily

Ian wrote a letter home too. He said he sent it on the first day but we just got it, 3 days after he returned from camp. It is short and sweet but here it is:

Dear Mom,
It's been a very good... BUT hecktick time! It is rely fun here mom and I got a award... See. I am starting to like some different food and I need more underwear!
PS write back!

I was sure I had packed plenty of underwear but he said he only had the pair he had on and one pair packed in his bag. Apparently he made due.

The girls really missed him and were happy to have him back home!

So cute, Emily. (And Happy Birthday to her!! I sent a package I don't know if you'll have gotten it today or by Saturday at the latest!) Funny about the underwear. I can't want to hear about it and see the pictures. I also have a picture of me and Jessie in front of the bus before we left for Camp Howard!
