Playing Hookie

Amiee and I managed to sneak out to the movies and see Sex And The City today. I thought my mom was home {I confused her work schedule with next Wed.} and said I could go. When I figured out that she was working I scrambled and sent a text message to one of our favorite sitters and it turned out that she was going to Hawaii tomorrow so although she was out of school already she was just too busy today. Next text - Brittney {another favorite}, who didn't have a car available to her today but was willing. I called Aimee back and and gave her Brittney's address and had her meet me there and dropped Emily and my car {she is very trustworthy that's why she is one of the fav's} and Brittney took Emily to the park and McDonald's for lunch and Aimee and I raced away to the movies giggling like teenagers. Aimee and I both LOVED the movie. We laughed and we cried, it is the perfect girlfriend movie however it is defiantly R rated.  After the movie was over we raced out of the theatre {it was 2:56} to make it to the school by 3:15 at the latest {otherwise the kids would have been put in extend care} and we made with very little time to spare, I jumped out of Aimee's car with a big tub of popcorn in my hands {which the kids ate on the way home} and grabbed the kids in the nick of time to strange looks by other kids in car line as well as the vice principal. Once I got home I was giddy and I tried to figure out why. Charlot {a character in the movie} said when asked if she was happy everyday "Yes, not the whole day everyday, but part of it". When I got home Terry was home and I sat next to him and told him about my day and what Charlot said and told him that I felt the same way most of the time and we both agreed that we have much to be thankful for. And all this from a movie called Sex and the City - go figure!
