Grateful Week 24

This week, on Fathers Day, I am grateful for my Dad.

My father died 15 years ago at the very young age of 50. I miss him terribly at times but on this Fathers Day wanted to say just how grateful I am for having my dad as long as I did. I was lucky enough to be able to talk to him about anything and everything. Some of my favorite memories are when I worked one day a week for him as his secretory {his secretory only wanted to work 4 days a week and it worked out with my Flight Attendant job}. I would ride BART into the city and meet my Dad at his favorite coffee shop where we would both have a white raisin roll and chat a while before going to work together. I will be forever grateful for our time together. I love you and I miss you Dad.

I realized while looking for pictures of my dad for this post that I have very few.

Hi- Every once in awhile I peek at your blog. I love your grateful postings and I think I should start doing that myself. It's so wonderful to focus on the great blessings we have...ones we so often take for granted. I no longer have parents or In-Laws.(Phil's Mom passed away three weeks ago...she being the last) It makes me sad more often than I thought it would..on many levels. We just started a family blog, Celebrating Grandparents, and I hope my kids add their thoughts and impressions to it from time to time. I plan on posting pictures for them to enjoy. It will be a good way to share!
