One Cool Grandma

Ian had to choose a member of his family tree {other than his mom or dad} and interview them and then write a story fro their life. I helped Ian interview my mom on the phone and then put the facts in order. When all was said and done I knew all the facts individually, however put together my Mom has lived an interesting life. Ian thought he had a cool grandma and his classmates and teacher did too. {His teacher even made a comment to me about her while I was picking up the kids in car line} Here is what Ian wrote and the picture he took with him to school.

"My Grandmas name is Sharol Ann Shaw. She was born in Bremerton WA in the year 1946. By the time she was 6 years old she had traveled in every kind of transportation. She was a model at age 14 and was crowned queen of the Fontana Boat and Ski Club. She was also princess for the state of Washington in the All State Parade {in California}. When she was 29 she raced cars on a 1/4 mile drag strip. When she turned 30 joined the Army and then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada for 20 years. She moved to Oregon 5 years ago and lives at the end of my drive way."

This picture is of my mom {Sharol Ann Shaw} and dad {Robert Francis Seeger} on their wedding day.
