Locks of Love

Sarah has been growing her hair out for about a year and today we went to the hair salon and got 10 inches cut off to donate to Locks of love. It is a non-profit organization that donates hair to kids and adults who are suffering from long term or permeate hair loss. This was Sarah's idea {I think there have been other kids from school who have done it as well} and although she really likes having long hair she really liked the idea of helping another child. On the web site it said that over 80% of people donating hair are kids donating to other kids. Any one can do it, even if your hair is dyed or permed {you can't have bleached or highlighted hair}. I am very proud of Sarah for doing this.

The new hair-do!
It is stacked in the back and quite a bit shorter.
I think she looks cute and a little bit older.
