A boy after my own heart...



Ian decided that he wanted to take a picture of the cat and grabbed my camera. Terry helped him figure out how to use it {the lens was a bit heavy for him}. Here is what he got...

He isn't exactly Ansel Adams {who is?} but I love the idea that he would see something and think that about photographing it. I did something similar with my Dad's camera, but I was 17 and we were staying in Yosemite Park and I was inspired by my father and Ansel Adams. I took his camera and went for a hike took some pictures and that was the beginning of my fascination. I could only hope to pass along the same desire to document the way the light plays on everything and everyone we interact with.           

This was just a few of the photo's he took, there were more, many, many more. {yeah for digital}

You must be a proud momma to see your son following in your footsteps...he has great perspective!

Thats WONDERFUL.....we lose so much trying to remember years later....and pictures help rattle the old brain cells. PLUS journaling helps MORE.....keep it up....you will thank yourself later!!!!
